A Chat about Heirs Property and Clouded Titles

Heirs Property

In Florida, heirs property is extremely common. This is property that is passed down to family members through inheritance without a will or court document. It’s property owned “in common” by all the descendants of legal heirs. That makes it tricky to manage the land or sell it.

To help us understand this, we went out to Albert Fuller, who runs a big tree farm near Gainesville so that we could have a simple conversation about it. Our hope is that if you’re dealing with heirs property too, you’ll find this helpful.
